The junior girls too reached the last four where they went down to a superior Chinese Taipei 0-3.
Indian junior boys entered the finals of the Consolation competition after scoring a 3-0 win over mixed team drawn from Malaysia and India. The junior boys could only finish third in their group behind Thailand and Japan.
The junior girls finished second in the group to qualify for the semifinals. However, the team was pitted against the stronger Chinese Taipei side and it lost 0-3 in the semifinals. The Indian girls had beaten Malaysia and Thailand C side to come behind Thailand A.
However, a tough task awaits Indian girls who run into top seed Hong Kong in the semifinal. India finished the group at the top winning all its matches in the group. India defeated Thailand C 3-1; Singapore 3-2 and Thailand A 3-0
