Cairn India today reported a 3 per cent rise in crude oil and natural gas production from its Rajasthan fields to 1,68,126 barrels per day in the second quarter ended September 30.
Average production from the Rajasthan block in July-September stood at 1,68,126 barrels of oil and oil equivalent gas per day (boepd) compared with 1,63,262 boepd in the same period a year ago, Cairn said in a statement here.
Its eastern offshore Ravva field saw a 27 per cent jump in output to 26,064 boepd in the second quarter.
"Average gross production for first half of FY16 was at 2,07,538 boepd, slightly up 1 per cent year-on-year (y-o-y).
"The increase in production was mainly driven by consistent performance of offshore assets -- Ravva and Cambay -- through effective reservoir management practices and better-than-expected results from Ravva in-fill drilling campaign," it said.
During April-September, the Rajasthan output was down 2 per cent at 1,70,164 boepd while Ravva soared 23 per cent to 27,303 boepd.
In Q2 of FY16, average gross operated production was up 6 per cent at 2,05,361 boepd. Production in Rajasthan was primarily driven by in-line reservoir performance in Mangala and production from additional in-fill wells in the Aishwariya field, it said.
Gas production from the Raageshwari field (in the Rajasthan block) in the second quarter increased to an average rate of 30 million standard cubic feet per day, from 19 mmscfd in the previous quarter, recording a peak production of 34 mmscfd. "This was largely on account of optimisation of existing infrastructure," Cairn said.
