Calve carcases found near temple, police step up vigil

Carcases of two calves were today found in gunny bags near a temple in Moga town, following which the police registered a case against unidentified people for creating communal tension.
Police have stepped up vigil in the area to prevent any untoward incident.
The people behind the incident caused communal tension in the area, police said.

Meanwhile, police said the postmortem report revealed both the calves died of natural causes.
As per the initial probe, a contractor responsible for cleanliness of the area had put the carcases in gunny bags but later left them at a place near the temple, they said.
