Thousands of believers participated at the gathering, which marks the 26th night of the holy month, a release issued by the Academy said.
Karnataka Food Minister U T Khader launched a project titled 'One Million Peace Homes', wherein academy volunteers would visit homes and spread the message against terrorism.
The academy plans to bring in 2000 'Peace Volunteers' for its anti-terrorism campaign. They would visit houses to spread the message of harmony and togetherness.
They would conduct special learning sessions on the harmony message of Islam and create awareness of the atrocities of terror ouftits like Islamic State, it said.

The organisation Chairman Sayyid Ibrahim Khaleel Albukhari led the pledge taking ceremony at the congregation.
