A social media campaign has been launched to identify and help physically and mentally challenged people who live on the roadside in pathetic conditions.
"These mentally sick homeless people are entitled to medical treatment and safe and secure stay under the Mental Health Act, 1987, but the administration is insensitive about helping them," said Ajay Srivastava, chairman of Umang Foundation, which has launched the campaign.
He said he has written to chief secretary VC Pharka over the issue.
