CAMPCO to export arecanut to China

The Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing and Processing Cooperative Limited (CAMPCO) will export two tonnes of processed tenderarecanut to China in August on a trial basis.
The Indian arecanut will be used by Kou Wei Wang Ji TuanYou Xian Gongsi company in Hunan province to prepare mouthfresheners.
CAMPCO will procure the tender arecanut required for the first consignment export from Thondamuthur inTamil Nadu and Wayanad in Kerala, CAMPCO President S R Satishchandra said in a release.
The project materialised after a delegation of the CAMPCO visited China for six days from June 13.
