"Like 'Dewana', 'Boss' will also be produced by Reliance Entertainment and have Hollywood-type action sequences for the first time," Jeet told PTI two weeks after the successful run of Dewana.

"I will be in the role of a non-resident Bengali in the movie, intrigued by the thought of giving something back to his homeland and then is confronted with the reality that the country has changed, the society has changed and the people have changed," Jeet said about the role.

Asked why he was concentrating on typical masala flicks and not exploring the other genres like Deb who is turning up in a film based on another novel by 'Pather Panchali' writer Bibhutibhusan Bandyopadhyay, Jeet said, "Please don't draw any comparison between me and Dev, who is a fine actor and a good friend of mine."

"And if you take the box office figures of Dewana or even Awara, Champion - all masala entertainers - don't you think there is a huge huge audience who yearn to see such movie and me in the lead role! I had never said wouldn't woork in offbeat films, but if I like the story and squeeze out time," he said.

About working with Ravi Kinnagi as director again in Dewana, Jeet said "this is the 11th film we have worked together, most of which having done great business. If the director and actor feel the same comfort level, that becomes explicit to the audience."

Jeet, who had recently talked to the Bangladesh government for the two sides collaborating in boosting distribution network of Bengali films of Tollygunge and Dhaka as part of a team of Prosenjit Chatterjee, Goutam Ghosh and leading producers like Venkatesh, said this will only aid in the resurgence of Bengali films.
