Cancer patient allegedly beaten up, two persons arrested

A cancer patient has been allegedly beaten up in Barasat area of North 24 Parganas district following a brawl between his sons and some youths and two persons have been arrested in this connection, a police officer said.
The 70-year-old cancer patient, Suranjan Chowdhury, was beaten up on Saturday night after a brawl between his sons and youths who were drinking sitting outside his house, a police officer of Barasat police station said.
"We have arrested two persons in connection with the case. Both the parties were drunk and indulged in a brawl," the police officer said.
