An official press release issued today also said that the Prakash Ambedkar-led Bahujan Republican Mahasangh's candidate Sanjay Damu Jadhav filed his nomination papers from the Devlali assembly constituency.
On September 20, which was the first day of filing of nomination papers, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) affiliated Centre for Indian Trade Unions (CITU) Maharashtra state unit general secretary D L Karad filed his nomination paper from Nashik West assembly constituency, the release said.
Meanwhile, the district administration is gearing up for the October 15 Maharashtra assembly elections in Nashik district, which includes 15 assembly constituencies namely Nandgaon, Malegaon Central, Malegaon Outer, Baglan (ST), Kalwan (ST), Chandvad, Yeola, Sinnar, Niphad, Dindori, Nashik (East), Nashik (Central), Nashik (West), Devlali and Igatpuri (ST), Nashik district collector Vilas Patil, who is also the district returning officer, said here today.
