'Car-Free Day' in Patparganj on December 22

Delhi's next 'Car-Free Day' will be organised in East Delhi's Patparganj area, Transport Minister Gopal Rai said today.
The government is, however, yet to finalise the road stretch where this event will be held. It will be the third 'Car-Free Day', organised in national capital.
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who is an MLA from Patparganj, has also invited people to take part in the initiative to be held on December 22.
"We will hold the next 'Car-Free Day' in Patparganj area of East Delhi. Government is receiving warm response from the people towards the initiative," Rai said here.
The Arvind Kejriwal government today held Car-Free Day in Dwarka, on the road stretch between Sector 3-13 and Sector 7-9, which witnessed a cycle rally led by Kejriwal, and participation of school children, and IAS and DANICS officers.
"Government with the support of people will reduce Delhi's pollution level... The next 'Car-Free Day' is in my constituency Patparganj. You are welcomed there," Sisodia tweeted.
The Delhi government holds 'Car-Free Day' in different areas onthe 22nd of every month.
Earlier in the day, Kejriwal announced that 'Car-Free Day' will be organised across the national capital on January 22 and said he will cycle to his office that day.
