The Chennai-based company, had recorded consolidated net profits at Rs 48 crore during corresponding period of last year, Carborundum Universal Ltd said in a BSE filing.
For the six month period ending September 30, 2017 consolidated net profits stood at Rs 100.22 crore from Rs 91.10 crore registered during year ago period.
Consolidated total income for the July-September 30, 2017 quarter grew to Rs 591.58 crore, from Rs 561.60 crore registered during same period of last year.
Shares of the company were trading at Rs 361 a piece up by 0.12 per cent over previous close in afternoon BSE.
