Carcass of tigress found in TATR buffer zone

Carcass of a full grown tigress was found in the buffer zone of Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) today, forest department said.
Carcass of the big cat, with wounds on its chest, back and on rear parts, was found lying by the side of Modholi-Katwal Road this morning, a release said.
According to the department, the carcass was in decomposed condition indicating that the feline might have died earlier.
Carcass of a wild boar was also found nearby the spot.
As per preliminary reports, the big cat might have been wounded during its hunt of wild boars.
