Cardamom prices eased 0.60 per cent to Rs 924 per kg in futures trading today as speculators trimmed positions amid sluggish domestic demand and increased supplies from producing regions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in July traded lower by Rs 5.60, or 0.60 per cent, to Rs 924 per kg in a business turnover of 209 lots.

The August contract shed Rs 1.30, or 0.14 per cent, to Rs 896.90 per kg in 19 lots.

Analysts said weak demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position weighed on cardamom prices at futures trade.
