Cardamom futures decline 0.47% on sluggish demand

Cardamom prices fell 0.47 per cent to Rs 940.30 per kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced positions amid subdued demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in far-month November declined by Rs 4.40, or 0.47 per cent, to Rs 940.30 per kg in a business turnover of 2 lots.
Likewise, the spice for delivery in October shed Rs 3.50, or 0.37 per cent, to Rs 937 per kg in 106 lots.
Market analysts attributed the fall in cardamom futures to weak demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.
