Cardamom prices declined 0.68% to Rs 755 per kg in futures trading today as speculators trimmed positions, tracking a weak trend at spot market on sluggish demand.
Besides, adequate stocks in the physical market on higher supplies from the producing belts put pressure on cardamom prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in November month fell by Rs 5.20, or 0.68%, to Rs 755 per kg in business turnover of 163 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by speculators due to subdued demand in the spot market, mainly led to decline in cardamom prices at futures trade.
