Further, adequate stocks in the physical market also put pressure on cardamom prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in September declined by Rs 12.10, or 1.31 per cent, to Rs 907 per kg, with a business turnover of 23 lots.
Likewise, the spice for delivery in August shed Rs 10.90, or 1.16 per cent, to Rs 928.20 per kg with trading volume of 203 lots.
Market analysts said profit-booking by speculators at current levels and subdued demand in the spot markets against adequate stocks position kept pressure on cardamom prices at futures trade.
