Cardamom prices advanced by 0.54 per cent to Rs 1,270 per kg in futures trade today amid rising domestic as well as export demand and restricted arrivals.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in May traded higher by Rs 6.80, or 0.54 per cent, to Rs 1,270 per kg in business turnover of 2 lots.
Traders said widening of positions by participants on the back of rising domestic as well as export demand in the spot market amid restricted supplies from producing regions mainly kept cardamom prices higher in futures trade.
