Cardamom prices edged up by 0.27 per cent to Rs 807.50 per kg in futures trade today as traders enlarged their positions, tracking a firm trend at spot market on pick up in demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in May rose by Rs 2.20, or 0.27 per cent, to Rs 807.50 per kg in a business turnover of 38 lots.
Analysts said building up of fresh positions by participants amid uptick in demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly led to the rise in cardamom prices at futures trade.
