Cardamom prices traded higher 0.35 per cent to Rs 937 per kg in futures trading today as speculators enlarged positions amid pick-up in demand in the spot market against restricted arrivals from producing belts.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in October gained Rs 3.30, or 0.35 per cent to Rs 937 per kg in business turnover of 37 lots.

The September contract edged up by 80 paise, or 0.08 per cent to Rs 949.70 per kg in 137 lots.

Market analysts said speculators built-up fresh positions supported pick up in demand in the spot markets, mainly led to the rise in cardamom prices at futures trade.
