At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in September rose by Rs 11.30, or 1.09 per cent, to Rs 1,051 per kg in a business turnover of 15 lots.
Likewise, the spice for delivery in August was trading higher by Rs 7.30, or 0.65 per cent, to Rs 1,130 per kg in 19 lots.
Traders said expanding of positions by participants, tracking a firm trend at spot market on strong domestic as well as export demand against restricted supplies from producing regions, mainly kept cardamom prices higher at futures trade.
