Cardamom prices rebounded 0.76 per cent to Rs 692 per kg in futures trade today as participants built up fresh positions, driven by pick up in demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in March month rose by Rs 5.20 or 0.76 per cent to Rs 692 per kg in business turnover of 112 lots.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in far-month April contracts traded higher by Rs 5.50 or 0.76 per cent to Rs 724.90 per kg in 5 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions built up by traders due to rise in demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from growing regions, mainly influenced cardamom prices at futures trade.
