Cardamom prices fell further by 1.69% to Rs 1,150 per kg in futures trade today as speculators indulged in reducing their positions amid adequate stocks position at spot market against subdued demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in March plunged by Rs 19.80, or 1.69% to Rs 1,150 per kg in a business turnover of 7 lots.

Market analysts said offloading of positions by speculators, triggered by ample stocks on higher supplies from producing regions against subdued spot market demand, kept pressure on cardamom prices at futures trade.
