Cardamom prices rose 0.99 per cent to Rs 1,063.50 per kg in futures trade today as speculators indulged in creating fresh positions, supported by pick up in domestic as well as exports demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in February month up by Rs 10.40, or 0.99 per cent to Rs 1,063.50 per kg in business turnover of 412 lots.
Market analysts said speculators built-up fresh positions on the back of pick up in domestic and exports demand in the spot markets against tight supplies from producing regions mainly supported the upside in cardamom prices at futures trade.
