Cardamom prices advanced by 0.85 per cent to Rs 890 per kg in futures trade today as speculators raised bets, taking positive cues from spot market on rising demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in July gained Rs 7.50, or 0.85 per cent, to Rs 890 per kg in business turnover of 1 lot.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in June contracts was trading higher by Rs 3.30, or 0.36 per cent, to Rs 910 per kg in 1 lot.
Traders said expansion of positions by participants due to pick up in demand at the spot market against tight stocks position on fall supplies from producing regions, kept cardamom prices higher.
