Cardamom prices rose further by 0.42% to Rs 877.60 per kg in futures trade today as participants widened their bets, supported by rising demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in July month moved up by Rs 3.70, or 0.42%, to Rs 877.60 per kg in business turnover of 70 lots.

Likewise, the spice for delivery in August contracts traded higher by Rs 2.60, or 0.29%, to Rs 901.80 per kg in 16 lots.

Marketmen said rising domestic as well as exports demand in the spot market against tight stocks position on restricted supplies from producing regions mainly kept cardamom prices higher at futures trade.
