Besides, restricted arrivals from producing belts too supported the uptrend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in August rose by Rs 5.70 or 0.62 per cent to Rs 921 per kg in a business turnover of 144 lots.
In a similar fashion, spice for delivery in September gained Rs 5 or 0.55 per cent to Rs 907.50 per kg in 50 lots.
Market analysts said besides rise in demand in the spot markets, tight supplies from producing regions mainly helped cardamom prices to trade higher at futures trade.
