Cardamom rose 0.69% to Rs 771.80 per kg in futures trade today as traders enlarged commitments amid pickup in export and domestic demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in September rose by Rs 5.30, or 0.69% to Rs 771.80 per kg, with a business turnover of 12 lots.

Similarly, the spice for delivery in August edged up by Rs 4.80, or 0.62% to Rs 772.50 per kg in 150 lots.

Traders said apart from rising export and domestic demand, tight stocks in the spot markets following restricted arrivals from growing regions influenced cardamom prices in futures trade here.
