Cardamom prices gain on high demand

Cardamom prices gained Rs 10 per kg at the wholesale kirana market today on increased demand from retailers amidst restricted supplies from producing belts.
Marketmen said increased demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly supported the upside in cardamom prices.
In the national capital, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali and Kanchicut were up by Rs 10 each to Rs 1,710-1,760 and Rs 1,810-1,910 per kg, respectively.
Cardamom small chitridar, colour robin, bold and extra-bold were also enquired higher by a similar margin to Rs 830-900, Rs 770-830, Rs 800-860 and Rs 1,000-1,030 per kg, respectively.
Following are today's quotations:
Ajwain (per kg) 175-220, black pepper (per kg) 700-900, betel-nut (kg) 280-330, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,710-1,760 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,810-1,910.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 830-900, cardamom (colour robin) 770-830, cardamom bold 800-860, cardamom extra (bold) 1,000-1,030 and cloves 800-900.
