Cardamom small variety rises on fresh demand

Cardamom small variety prices firmed up by Rs 5 per kg at the wholesale kirana market today on fresh demand supported by festive season.
Traders said pick up in demand in view of festive season mainly led to the rise in cardamom small variety prices.
In the national capital, cardamom small varieties such as chitridar, colour robin, bold and extra bold were up by Rs 5 each to Rs 700-750, Rs 680-740, Rs 730-750 and Rs 900-950 per kg respectively.
Following are today's quotations per quintal:
Ajwain (per kg) 15,500-20,000, black pepper (per kg) 740-890, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,400-1,460 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,500-1,640.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 700-750, cardamom (colour robin) 680-740, cardamom bold 730-750, cardamom extra (bold) 900-950 and cloves 840-890.
