Carnival Cinemas appoints Mohan Umrotkar as CEO

Multiplex chain operator Carnival Cinemas today appointed Mohan Umrotkar as its chief executive in place of P V Sunil, who has been elevated as the managing director.
Umrotkar has been associated Reliance MediaWorks Group as the chief financial officer in the past.

FCB India appoints Jyotsana Kaushik as VP
Mumbai: Integrated marketing communications agency FCB India today appointed Jyotsana Singh Kaushik as its vice- president. She will be based in Gurgaon.
She has been associated with TetraPak India, Aviva Life Insurance, GE Money, Roca, McCormick and JWT in the past.

IDFC Mutual Fund AUM rises to Rs 15,268 crore
Mumbai: Equity asset under management of IDFC Mutual Fund has increased to over Rs 15,268 crore, up from Rs 12,827 crore a year ago, the company said.
According to Amfi data, asset under management of IDFC MF was Rs 64,463 crore as of July, up from Rs 53,585 crore a year ago. Its corporate bond fund AUM stood at Rs 9,228 crore, the company said.

IndiaFirst Life launches chatbot
Mumbai: Private sector life insurer IndiaFirst Life today launched a chatbot, Iris, which is equipped with multiple functionalities, such as product descriptions, premium statements and notices, fund value inquiries and application status to the customers.
"A chatbot, a virtual assistant that is available 24x7 to our customers, distributors and employees is our viable adoption of technology to provide our stakeholders with a superior and consistent performance," the company, promoted by Bank of Baroda, Andhra Bank and Legal & General, said in a statement.

UBM India to hold 3-days renewable energy expo in Noida
Mumbai: UBM India today said it has organised a three-day Renewable Energy India 2017 Expo (REI) in Noida that will witness participants from across the globe to discuss industry trends, challenges and market insights including the Indian regulatory framework.
"REI will see active participation from countries such as Japan, Germany, France, Poland, USA, Korea, China and Taiwan amongst host of other countries," UBM India Managing Director Yogesh Mudras said.
He further noted the event aims to further upscale and mainstream the applications of renewable energy resources, showcase product launches, innovations and augment the forethought through the international exhibitions and conference platform.
