Case lodged against man for 'raping' 9-year-old girl

A case has been lodged against an unidentified man here for allegedly raping a minor girl, police said today.
According to a police spokesperson, the case has been lodged on the basis of a complaint from a nine-year-old girl.
As per the complaint, the girl was playing outside her house yesterday when a man allegedly took her to SRS Road highway on the pretext of giving her biscuits etc. And raped her, the spokesperson said, adding that the accused also threatened to kill the girl if she talked about the incident to anybody.
In another case, a woman has lodged a police complaint here alleging that her 15-year-old daughter was yesterday lured away by an unidentified man on the pretext of marrying her.

In yet another case, a person has lodged a police complaint alleging that his 14-year-old daughter was yesterday lured away by one Iqbal, a resident of Kisan Mazdoor Colony.
Police have lodged separate cases in connection with the incidents and investigations were underway, said the spokesperson.
