The case was registered last evening against the officials of Aryan Coal Beneficiation (ACB) on the direction of a court, but no arrest has been made yet, said the Korba additional superintendent of police Tarkeshwar Patel.
The company's plants are located in Dipka area of the district, around 225 km from the state capital Raipur.
Adbad Singh (85), a local farmer who belongs to a tribal community, had moved the court over the issue.
He also alleged that the company forcibly occupied another piece of land owned by him, measuring around one hectare, and constructed a dirt road on it for the use of its heavy vehicles.
