Cashew declines on muted demand

Cashew fell by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today due to subdued demand from retailers and stockists at existing higher levels amid adequate stocks on increased arrivals from producing belts.
Cashew kernel (No 180, 210, 240 and 230) prices eased by Rs 5 each to settle at Rs 805-835, Rs 705-735, Rs 635-645 and Rs 595-615 per kg, respectively.
Marketmen said low demand from retailers and stockists at prevailing higher levels against increased arrivals from producing regions, weighed on cashew prices.
Following are today's quotations (per 40 kgs):
Almond (California) Rs 23,000, Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 10,400-10,900; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 6,900-7,100; Abjosh Afghani Rs 15,000-20,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 785-810 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 850-880 per kg.
