Cashew prices rose by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today on the back of increased buying by retailers and stockists to meet rising domestic demand amid low stocks.
Tight supplies from growing regions also supported the upside in prices.
Cashew kernel No 180, No 210, No 240 and No 320 rose by Rs 5 each to conclude at Rs 865-875, Rs 765-775, Rs 645-655 and Rs 535-575 per kg, respectively.
Marketmen said increased buying by retailers and stockists against tight supplies from growing regions, mainly pushed up cashew prices to rise.

Almond (California) Rs 17,800 Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 7,900-8,100; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 4,400-4,700; Abjosh Afghani Rs 8,000-22,000.
