Cashew prices rose by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today on increased buying by retailers and stockists due to higher demand from bulk consumers to meet festive season demand.
Further, tight stocks following fall in supplies from growing regions also supported the uptrend.
Cashew kernel No 180, No 210, No 240 and No 320 rose Rs 5 each to conclude at Rs 810-840, Rs 710-740 Rs 640-650 and Rs 590-620 per kg, respectively.
Marketmen said increased buying by retailers and stockists against restricted supplies from growing belts, mainly pushed up cashew prices.
