Castorseed futures declines on profit-booking

Castorseed prices were down by Rs 24 to Rs 4,498 per quintal in future trading today following profit-booking by speculators at higher levels.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, castorseed prices for delivery in far-month April contracts fell by Rs 24, or 0.53 per cent to Rs 4,498 per quintal, with an open interest of 11,010 lots.
On similar lines, castorseed for delivery in current month contracts fell by Rs 19, or 0.40 per cent to Rs 4,752 per quintal, in an open interest of 51,670 lots, while most-active February month contract lost Rs 10, or 0.22 per cent to Rs 4,615 per quitnal in an open interest in 1,33,180 lots.
Marketmen said profit-booking at higher levels by speculators mainly led to the fall in castorseed prices.
