Castorseed prices recovered marginally by Rs 12 to Rs 4,241 per quintal in futures trading today as speculators enlarged positions at existing lower levels amidst firming spot markets.
Marketmen said pick up in demand and restricted supplies in physical markets mainly attributed the rise in castorseed prices at futures trade.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, castorseed prices for second contracts October month regained by Rs 12, or 0.28%, to Rs 4,241 per quintal, in an open interest of 1,26,960 lots.
Most active first contract September month also recovered by Rs 11, or 0.26%, to Rs 4,170 per quintal with an open interest of 1,52,430 lots.
