The Central Administrative Tribunal today dismissed a plea of ex-CVO of AIIMS, Sanjiv Chaturvedi, that he be assigned all the work for which the post of Deputy Secretary at the institute was created.
CAT dismissed the application of the officer who had sought the job which included the supervision and modification of infrastructure projects, management and control of the institution and co-ordination with multi-disciplinary experts.
He had sought the implementation of the basic reference order issued by the Health Ministry on June 23, 2011 and urged the Tribunal that he be given the task of the Deputy Secretary at the institute.
In his petition to CAT, Chaturvedi, a Magsaysay awardee, had demanded that the order of the Health Ministry be immediately implemented as he was totally "jobless" for the past one year after being removed from the post of CVO.
After today's order, however, Chaturvedi said he will approach the higher judiciary against it.
In October last year, CAT had issued a notice to the Director, AIIMS on Chaturvedi's plea seeking perjury proceedings against him.
