While Rajesh (26), a resident of Kumahar Colony, succumbed to injuries at a hospital here, his two accomplices are in a critical condition after being beaten by the mob, police said, adding that their two accomplices managed to escape.
The locals thrashed the cattle thieves and later informed police about the matter.
A case against unknown persons has been lodged in connection with the death, police said.
