Cattle trader shot at before being robbed

A cattle trader was today shot at before being robbed of Rs. Three lakh by unidentified miscreants on NH-107 in Bihar's Madhepura district, a police officer said.
The incident took place near Navtol canal as unidentified miscreants intercepted a cattle trader Mithu Yadav while he was riding on a bike on way to be a cattle market at Siddheshwar and shot at him before robbing Rs. Three lakh from him, the Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Rajesh Kumar said.
The injured cattle trader, a native of Purnia district, has been taken to a hospital for treatment, he said.
The miscreants escaped on a motorcycle after robbing the cattle trader, Kumar said.
A case has been registered in this connection and raids were being carried out to nab the culprits, the ASP added.
