The university scored first rank in Tamil Nadu and 2nd rank among the State Universities at the National level, University Vice-Chancellor, A Ganapathi said.
The ranking was based on parameters like faculty-student ratio, faculty quality,library and laboratory facilities.
The university attained an overall score of 74.31 per cent in NIR and scored its highest 80.70 per cent in Research Professional Practice and Collaborative performance when compared to other categories.
While appreciating the efforts of the faculty, non-teaching staff, scholars and students, Ganapathi appealed to the stakeholders to strive still better to move towards to attain International Ranking of Universities.
