CBFC bribery case: CBI custody of two accused extended

A local court today extended till August 22 the CBI custody of a member of the advisory panel of Central Board of Film Certification and an agent in the censor board bribery case.
"Shripati Mishra, who acted as an agent, and CBFC advisory panel member Sarvesh Jaiswal were remanded in CBI custody till August 22," said an official.
Both had been arrested on August 14.
Mishra and Jaiswal allegedly took bribe on behalf of censor board CEO Rakesh Kumar, who was arrested two day ago, for issuance of censor certificate to a Chhattisgarh film.
The CBI lawyer told the court today that the agnecy planned to "confront" Mishra and Jaiswal with Kumar.
Investigators were trying to find out names of other directors, producers and agents who might have approached the the duo seeking certificates, the lawyer said.
