CBI arrests Branch Manager of United India Insurance comp

CBI today arrested a senior branch manager of United India Insurance Company from Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh for allegedly accepting bribe of 10 per cent of the claim amount.
CBI spokesperson said here that the official was arrested for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a complainant.
"A case was registered against Senior Branch Manager, United India Insurance Company Limited, Ghazipur U/s 7 of PC Act, 1988 for demanding 10 per cent of the claim amount from the complainant who owns a truck which met with an accident in May, 2015," she said.
The official said CBI laid a trap and the Senior Branch Manager was caught red handed while accepting the bribe.

The arrested accused will be produced tomorrow before the court of Special Judge, Anti Corruption CBI, Lucknow, she said.
