Two persons were arrested for allegedly trying to bribe a Customs officer, Central Bureau of Investigation officials said today.
"A tempo carrying smuggled goods, including mobile accessories, valued at Rs 4 crore was intercepted by a Customs official near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in south Mumbai," a CBI official said.
Following the incident, Rajendra Singh Rajpurohit, director of a firm called Avista Multi Trade Pvt, along with his brother Manav Jagarwal, came forward to claim the goods, the official said.
