CBI books IOCL Manager in DA case

The CBI has registered a case of allegedly amassing disproportionate assets against a manager of Indian Oil Corporation LPG Plant Manager and carried out searches at his office and residence in Bhopal.
CBI said that the Manager (Plant) Gyan Chand Verma has allegedly amassed disproportionate assets to his known sources of income.
The total amount of Disproportionate Assets against the accused was 77 per cent, which is about Rs 12.5 lakh.
"Searches were conducted at two places in Bhopal including residential and official premises of accused which led to recovery of about 30 incriminating documents; two locker keys; four acres of land and one house," a CBI spokesperson said.
The searches were carried out at the residence and office of Verma yesterday after a complaint of disproportionate assets against him, CBI Bhopal Superintendent of Police Hari Singh said.
Verma has been booked under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act, he added.
