CBI court holds 23 fodder scam accused guilty

It was the 47th out of the total 54 fodder cases shifted to Ranchi courts in the scam ending in conviction

A CBI court on Saturday convicted 23 accused in the multicrore rupees fodder scam and acquitted ten others on benefit of doubt in connection with RC54 A/96.

The Special CBI court found four ex-treasury officials and employees and 19 suppliers guilty of fraudulently withdrawing Rs 7.06 crore from Doranda Treasury between 1981 and 1990.

Delivering the judgement, CBI judge B K Gautam pronounced varying prison sentences from three years to five years against them.
