Justice Mukta Gupta issued notices to accused Purushottam Dev Arya and Anil Kumar Madan, who are businessmen, and fixed the matter for further hearing on May 24.
CBI has, in its petition, moved the High Court saying they did not deserve to be out on bail on the ground of parity as they absconded for over six month during the probe in the case.
Arya and Madan are being made accused for their alleged role in the Commonwealth Games-related graft case involving sacked CWG Organising Committee (OC) chief Suresh Kalmadi.
During the hearing, CBI prosecutor Dayan Krishnan said the trial court should not have granted bail to them on the ground of parity as it was against the provisions of law. (more)
