Opposition DMK in Tamil Nadu today termed the CBSE paper leak as "another pitfall" of centralised education and said that re-exam amounted to "injustice" against students and parents.

"#CBSEPaperLeak is another example of the pitfalls of centralised education. Re-examination is nothing less than injustice for 28 lakh students and parents," DMK Working President M K Stalin tweeted.

The re-examination "shatters our collective faith in our national education system," Stalin, Leader of Opposition in the state assembly, said.

He urged the Prime Minister's office and and Union HRD Ministry to inquire into the episode and take action.

The CBSE on Wednesday announced re-examination for class 10 mathematics and class 12 economics following reports of paper leaks even as Union HRD minister Prakash Javadekar has promised to put in place a new "leak-proof" system to conduct the board examinations.
