The student wing of Samajwadi Party suffered a rout losing both the president and the general secretary seat which they have been holding for the last three sessions of the Union.
However, the outfit managed to win the joint secretary seat in the Students' Union polls, the results of which was declared last evening.
Sachin Kumar of NSUI-RLD alliance beat SP's student wing candidate Shubham Mishra by 243 votes for the president's seat. ABVP's Sangeet Singh Patel bagged the vice-president post beating SP's students wing candidate Abhinav Yadav by 204 votes, a poll official said.
The treasurer position was won by Independent candidate Vivek Kumar Yadav, the official said.
The elections to the students' union of CCSU were held on November 18.
