"We have demanded five CCTV cameras from the state government out of which they have sanctioned three cameras," Jail Superintendent P D Salonia said today.
Out of the three CCTV cameras, one will be installed at the main entrance of the prison, second camera will be installed at the place where the inmates meet and third will be installed at circle number one which is the largest circle inside the jail, he said.
Currently 2,500 prisoners and undertrials involving several history sheeters are lodged in the jail.
